Workers Comp

Workers Comp

When you’ve been injured at work, the focus is often on the area or areas that were injured. However, research has shown that focusing exclusively on just structural problems in work injury worsens outcomes when we don’t look at everything around the injury and how it has impacted your ability to work, your life, your family, and all the things you care about. Therefore, it is important to understand all the biologic, psychologic, and social factors involved in a work injury. That is why we specialize in treating patients with work-related injuries. By using the Human Rehabilitation Framework, we are able to use a process-based approach to efficiently rehabilitate injured workers and lessen the number of days lost to work-related injuries.

Our workers’ comp program will be customized for each injured worker and may include:

  • Transdisciplinary care around the job description
  • Regular communication with Employers, Adjuster (ADJ), Case Manager (CM), Referral Network, Physicians, and others involved in the case
  • Return to Work Outcome Data
  • Physical and/or Occupational Therapy
  • Work Conditioning/Work Hardening
  • Return-to-Work Assessments
  • Functional Capacity Evaluations
  • Fitness for Duty Exam

Our plan of care for injured workers can include:

  • Creating a functional diagnosis
  • Measuring progress and instilling confidence
  • Building skills, strategies, and work capacity that are specifically targeted to the work demands
  • Ensuring that your process and journey are meaningful and fulfilling to lessen chances of re-injury
  • Building on the concepts of true ownership to allow the worker to success in independent management upon returning to work
