DMR’S Journey Companion 6- Week Course on Back Pain can be accomplished live in person, live via webinar, or by watching the recorded sessions after each session has been completed. Our first version of this course will take place on Wednesdays from 5:30 – 6:30 PM starting November 9th and ending December 14th. In person sessions will be held at our clinic facility located at 5429 Northland Dr. Ste A, Grand Rapids, MI 49525. Course Description

This 6-week course is dedicated to anyone who has experienced back pain, is currently struggling with, or simply interested in the current science on back pain. Throughout this series, you will learn about current scientific thinking about back pain and how to use a revolutionary new approach to movement and pain problems called the Human Rehabilitation Framework (HRF) to better treat back pain. The Human Rehabilitation Framework is the WORLD’S FIRST PROCESS BASED APPROACH to rehabilitation and is built on the shoulders of over 56,000 research articles. Course Objectives

1.) To provide an overview of current science-based knowledge related to back pain. Including the modern perspective of the integration of biology, psychology, and social domains of human beings into meaningful applications toward movement and pain problems.
 
2.) To compare protocol-based approaches to process-based approaches for movement and pain.

3.) To introduce the Human Rehabilitation Framework (HRF) as a process-based approach to movement and pain.

4.) To explore the processes of the HRF and how to use the HRF Functional Ladder to measure progress.

5.) Summarize simple changes you can make in your current daily life to more effectively improve your movement and function around back pain.
